Axie Class Stat Recap and Battle Implications (Closed Beta Edition)
With the launch of our closed battle beta (open to all Origin Axie holders) fast approaching it’s a good time to go over the 4 base stats for Axies.
Each Axie has 4 stats, HP, Skill, Morale, and Speed.
HP — Determines the total Hit points of an Axie. The more HP an Axie has, the more damage it can receive before being incapacitated in battle.
Skill — Skill determines an Axie’s accuracy. Axies with higher “skill” will miss their attacks less frequently.
Morale — Morale determines an Axie’s critical strike chance and number of “last stand” turns.
Speed — Speed determines the attack order of Axies. Axies with higher speed will attack at the beginning of turns. Speed will also increase an Axie’s chance to dodge an attack.
There are six different classes of Axies and each class has different base stats. You can find the proportions of these stat distributions in the graphics below:
An Axie’s stats are a function of its class and the classes of its body parts. For example, a plant Axie with 6 plant/reptile parts will have 61 HP, the max number for a base stat at level 1.
Here are the max stats for each category that an Axie can have depending on its class.
Pay attention to your Axie’s stats because they will help determine your Axie’s role in battle. For example a high HP Axie may be most useful as a tank(damage absorber) and best placed on the front lines. In contrast, an Axie with high Morale will have low HP and most likely best placed behind a “tank” so that it can do damage while protected from most enemy attacks — at least until the tank falls in battle and becomes an Axie spirit.
