[CHOJO] JBB.ONE's Exclusive Interview with Producer of CHOJO Maruyama.

CHOJO -CryptoGirlsArena- is a RPG blockchain game featuring girls and fighting skills. Not long from its last closed test, players are in hot discussion now. Luckily, we successfully invited CHOJO's producer Mr. Maruyama for an interview today. Let's see what is his points of view for CHOJO!

→More info about CHOJO

JBB.ONE: Hi! Mr. Maruyama, we are very excited that you’d like to take an interview with us! Please, introduce yourself and your team.

Maruyama: Hi! I am the producer of CHOJO –CryptoGirlsArena-, and my name is Maruyama. I was engaged in the development and implementation of native App games. And, I participated the early development of Crypto Spells, which got me fascinated by the rise of the blockchain game market and the advancement of gaming industry. So I decided to develop CHOJO.

JBB.ONE: According to previous news, CHOJO will be officially launching on July 23th. How will you describe CHOJO to your audience?

Maruyama: CHOJO is a work that portrays a near-future world where girls meet fighting skills. All attended fighters inherited “backbone” from different schools, fighting for their pride. Different moods of fighters, complex relationships among fighters, and exciting fights are where CHOJO’s charm lies.

JBB.ONE: Girl fighter is certainly not an ordinary subject. How did you guys come up with such a novelty? And, those in-game fighting skills seems pretty realistic, is it because you guys love fighting so you chose such a topic?

Maruyama:, Since there wasn’t really a girls game that contains relatively rich scenarios in blockchain game field when we were still trying to decide the game subject, we decided to build a game which centers girls. By using blockchain technology, we can bring “Waifu” to next level, which really advanced our decision making. Afterwards, since I love it(fighting) as well, I excused it with “Rare IP content”, and combined girls with fighting skills.

JBB.ONE: It is also a surprise that you guys chose girl fighter as the game subject but to make an RPG over a fighting game. Do you have more stories to tell about such a combination?

Maruyama: The biggest reason is from native App game market. CHOJO is not limited in the form of game, considering manga, anime and more Mediamix mode, we develop it as an “IP content”.  In native App game market, there are concrete examples of popular games which combines IP content and combat command. It is easier to operate through combat command. Plus, complex gameplay and combat system can be achieved through this. So we adopted combat command mode RPG.

JBB.one: Comparing to traditional game, the size of audience in blockchain gaming field is much smaller. Honestly speaking, the future of blockchain game is still in fog. What kind of opportunity brings you to MCH+ program and join in blockchain game production.

Maruyama: Right after we decided to develop blockchain game, we attended Hackathon held by MCH+ where we get to know MCH+ program. Back then, I haven’t found our company but knowing that “I am going to develop blockchain games”. Under such a circumstance, in order to developing my own blockchain game, I joined MCH+ program so the connection with Double Jump was formed.

JBB.ONE: Another remarkable thing is that CHOJO announced cooperation with MCH and Cryptospells at the early stage. Now the open information about cooperation is rather vague, will you go through some details for our audience?

Maruyama: Specifically speaking, cooperation of this time is NFT transformation. We introduced “Yodo-dono” and new hero “Mulan” from MCH and “Succubus” and “Hell Inferno” from Cryptospells to the world of CHOJO. Players may use them as fighters, and we are planning for more cooperation that CHOJO fighters present in other games in the future.

JBB.ONE: To our knowledge, there are more events besides cooperation activities, and trade and PvP system will be available in August. We know that there will be much more contents releasing in the future. Will you reveal some details about future updates?

Maruyama: In the official version, players may obtain NFT fighters& skills; customize their unique team, and enjoy quest and PvP.

JBB.ONE: For the previous test, players have direct access to all fighters and skills. How will players obtain these fighters and skills in the official version? Is all of these fighters and skills going to be NFTs?

Maruyama: Players will have access to three fighters: Misaki Yatsue, Mito ShiRai, and Moe Hajime in the very beginning of the game. Other players can be obtained through storage linked Dutch auction (same as MCH), and skills will drop from quests mainly.

JBB.ONE: We have read about IP content related news on your website, and it specifically mentioned about animation. What plans do you have now for the future expansion of your title?

Maruyama: About future developments, our primary goal is to build a system that runs CHOJO –CryptoGirlsArena- smoothly. Beyond that, we will, from the content development and marketing point of view, release manga, anime, stage play and more.

JBB.ONE: Are multi-language versions on schedule? Like Chinese or English?

Maruyama: We don’t have a specific schedule in mind, but we hope to support multi-language as soon as possible.

JBB.ONE: What would you like to say about CHOJO’s future? Any expectations or plans?

Maruyama: As we mentioned in our roadmap, we will make a Youtube channel that the voice performers will participate. Also, we would like to use manga and more approaches to publicize CHOJO. About CHOJO –CryptoGirlsArena- , currently,  we are considering adding things like party, or guild to enrich the gameplay.

JBB.ONE: Thanks for your participation, and we really appreciate it. We wish CHOJO for the best. Our last concern is that what do you think of the future of blockchain gaming field. Or, if you have more words for players?

Maruyama: With the advancement of technology, the society evolves at an increasing speed. It is obvious that blockchain technology will continue to support the infrastructure of the society. So is the gaming field, I believe blockchain technology will becoming a common feature gradually. I believe the development of blockchain game field will be taken steps ahead through providing better experience for users. At last, we hope you all enjoy our game!

JBB.ONE: Thanks again, Mr. Maruyama and readers who have got this far. That was all of the interview, and we hope this helps you to get to know more about the team behind CHOJO, which truly is a very interesting and far-sighted program.

AND DON'T FORGET THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF CHOJO ON JULY 23TH!
