Last week we launched an AMA (ask me anything) session with our CEO, Vladimir Tomko.
It was happening on a new exciting Uptrennd platform, and we did it Reddit-style.

Because of the format, tens of questions were flying in, and Vladimir could answer them all live. It was super exciting to meet people who just heard about Blockchain Cuties. And we loved seeing our valued long-time community members raise insightful and fun questions for our CEO to tackle.
We also loved the fact that we can give away an Unptennd-themed Cutie to authors of the best three questions.
Unptennd Cutie is a gem. It has one of the best mullets in the game — all business in the front and party in the back.
We will send this adorable pet to three fabulous people, who sent in the best questions for the AMA.
Pssst! If you’re one of those people, please check your DMs on Uptrennd.
Please welcome the winners, their questions, and the answers from our CEO!
What are you most excited about with regard to blockchain games in general and the future of Blockchain Cuties?
Hey Drake, thanks for asking!
The things that excite me the most in blockchain gaming are ownership and asset history and with that — ability to deal with things that you own the way you want to — HODL, trade, gift, etc. Right now Blockchain Cuties Universe doesn’t explore the history aspect of assets much, but we do plan to do that in the near future. History will add subjective value that can become objective to everyone inside the community at some point. And history written in blockchain makes assets of the same type very different in terms of monetary value.
In terms of BCU’s future, I’m excited towards improving the existing economy (we’re on take 3 of loot rebalancing right now because our beta testers didn’t like the offered solutions) and, of course, Wars of Cutieland update series.
Besides that, I really love the blockchain gaming community and BCU’s in particular.
So many educated and talented people that are eager to help us create the best blockchain game on the market.
I don’t know much about this game, but I have some questions for you. There are so many games available on the blockchain.
Who should join your game? Why your game is different than other games?
Blockchain Cuties is for people who are passionate about gaming and blockchain technology. For those who want to play to earn, invest, and even just explore what blockchain is all about.
We’re different because we are the only game working on four blockchains at once. We have many markets inside the game for people to trade and earn on. Also, the game is constantly developing and adding new features.
And once Wars of Cutieland are live it will be like nothing blockchain gaming has ever seen.
Blockchain Cuties - Wars of Cutieland
A new age is coming to Cutieland. New empires emerge, armies rise and new rulers lay claim to the throne of the land…
I have been playing BCC for more than a year now and I like it a lot. However, I am worrying about scalability. The blockchain gaming is still new and the potential players must know about blockchain. So, your niche is narrow and I feel that this is a problem for the game. I think you should come up with something that gives the game enormous boast.
Then, here is my question. How will you overcome this challenge? as we all know new players must come to the game.
I think making an app for the game which can create wallets on the blockchains you are on would be fantastic. That can get the attention of regular players who know nothing about blockchain. I don’t know if this is possible or not. Easy or difficult.
I am interested in your journey with the game and I will stay involved.
So, what’s your plan for scalability?
Will playing on Matic blockchain be as easy as TRON blockchain?
Must I buy unique cuties from WOC sale? Or I can use my normal cuties or other unique to play as governer?
Is it easier to play WOC on EOS and NEO? Since they both don’t have much competition from cuties number on each chain.
Hi, Mahmood. Thank you for being an active member of the community.
Great points in your post. There are many things that have to happen for the blockchain gaming section to become much more popular.
I think the main obstacle is the entry threshold for the user. If a person is not familiar with how wallets work and what is blockchain, there’s a lot for them to learn and a lot of companies are working towards simplifying the onboarding process. The most important step was done by Samsung recently. While other companies sit and analyze what they should do, Samsung is experimenting by adding a blockchain wallet to their phones and add an app browser to its software to browse dapps. We are collaborating with many industry’s creative and talented people to do our best to bring this to a new whole level. It is not a fast road, but in the last year alone, the onboarding in many ways has become much easier than it was before, but that’s not yet good enough and we will do our best to help make this industry a booming one with every gamer joining in.
About the point you’ve made here about an app, we did that already. The game has a built-in wallet solution for every blockchain the game supports. You can use your wallet that is already made, or you can create one from scratch and enjoy a less cluttered experience without the need of 3rd party wallet extensions or apps installed. With all that said, it does need more updates for features and additional nice-to-haves that enrich the user experience in a one-stop-shop solution.
A lot of things are being done to help set the scaleable base for the game so that WoC can start off with a well-balanced economy. As for the blockchain aspect, there’s not a lot we can do, but to hope that Ethereum figures out a scaling solution for the blockchain itself. Many blockchains recognized the need for a scalable network and have been building their creation from the ground up with much bigger throughput and scaling possibilities.
It will help you get to conquering a bit faster if you get specialist Cuties from the Presale store. You can use normal Cuties to make them generals, scouts, and assign them many different roles, provided they have the necessary requirements for it. They have to be nobles and low gen, but the Presale Cuties are designed to be generals, governors, and scouts and will have better skillsets from the start. With normal Cuties, players will need to roll for better skills in most cases. Some might get lucky though.
Comparing NEO and EOS, I would say NEO would be the way to go. It is an up and coming blockchain with big plans. Plus on NEO if you hold a bit of NEO you can generate NEOGAS passively, which is a great thing, as many features in the game require NEOGAS as it’s divisible.
Congratulations to the winners! You will see your new pets very soon.
