IBM has recruited two more major shipping carriers to join the blockchain platform it co-owns with container giant Maersk. 

PayPal has joined a Series A investment in Cambridge Blockchain, a startup working to give individuals a way to own their own online identities without the need of middlemen like Facebook, much the way bitcoin lets its users store value without a bank.

Wall Street has already adopted crypto technology, but Hollywood is pretty new to it. While the entertainment industry might be a few years late in implementing crypto, it has now realized that blockchain has the potential to revolutionize the distribution of music and movies, and can resolve the piracy problem.
