Nearly 400 ETH or almost $100K+ has been raised by Dapper Labs, a Vancouver-based tech company which specializes in developing blockchain-based games on their pre-sale last May 17-24 for their latest upcoming project called “Cheeze Wizards” with over 2,773+ wizards have been summoned according to their website costing from 0.070 to 0.082 ETH each wizard.

 

 

Even William Mougayar, the Author of “The Business Blockchain: Promise, Practice And Application Of The Next Internet Technology” and one of the special advisor of EthereumFoundation also participated on the pre-sale and tweeted about it.

 

Just like CryptoKitties, every wizard you summon at Cheeze Wizards is a non-fungible token, uniquely created or modified genetically on Ethereum blockchain using ERC-721. An advanced ETH token protocol suitable for non-fungible assets, mostly used for copyright, digital arts licensing & patenting purposes.

 

According to their website, Cheeze Wizards is a tournament. Players have to summon wizards to compete and every wizard added to the population will increase the size of the Big Cheeze (the reward for players who’ll win the tournament).

 

Wizards battle on PvP duels and will absorb a percentage of the power from its opponent to power-up its own until there is only one wizard remaining (The Big Cheeze), who’ll get the Ether that was accumulated within the game as a reward.

 

The best thing here is Dapper Labs also created their own Ethereum wallet called Dapper. You can use the wallet to buy crypto collectibles on blockchain-based games develop by Dapper Labs using a credit card and the advantage of being free from gas fees because it is totally covered by Dapper wallet itself.
