Limited Edition TRON Armor
The first batch of TRON limited edition items was released in July to celebrate our partnership with TRON Arcade, and the event was a great success! Two full sets were dropped out and some players were brokenhearted to find that the other items were burned. Now is the last chance to get your hands on these limited edition items as we will drop the remaining 5 sets to celebrate the end of Gen-0 in style. This is the last time we will drop out these items forever, making it the rarest set so far in BLOCKLORDS. A TRON item earned by a player sold for over 15,000 TRX this month. Are you sure you can afford to sit out this event? A TRON armor would certainly make you stand out.
Pricing Update
While many players enjoy the game, we have received quite a bit of feedback regarding our pricing. The feedback has been well-received and as promised the prices will be lowered across the board as we begin Gen-1. This is something we plan to do with every generation as we shift the model of the game towards a free to play model in a pace that suits our dev cycles. For early players who spent higher amounts during Gen-0, rest assured. The early Gen-0 items will remain limited in quantity and will have special bonuses when used with new gameplay in the future. And once the forge mechanic is introduced, players will also be able to burn Gen-0 items in order to receive higher quality new Gen items, thus spurring demand for older items within the game itself. The new pricing will go into effect as soon as the TRON armor sets have been dropped out or burned from strongholds!
New Hero Profile, Armory System and Troop Deployment
That’s not all, the BLOCKLORDS team has also been hard at work improving the content in-game. This new content release is the first step towards our entire overhaul of the battle system and will add the features of troop deployment and armory upgrade. Players can now choose how to setup their armies between three types of units: Infantry, Cavalry, and Archers. How you deploy your troops will affect your battle outcome, so don’t be afraid to try new things out with your army setup! We are also introducing the ARMORY system, where extra items can be used to level up your troops and grant them skills that will give extra buffs during battles. In order to make this work, we have also completely redesigned the battle formula to make fights more competitive. This new content upgrade is just a first step in the newly planned content that we will release in the fall, all with the aim of making BLOCKLORDS a deeper game with more strategic and tactical mechanics!
Moving Forward
As we upload the 10K Gen-1 items, improve the gameplay and lower the prices, we expect the game to become more accessible to players across the board. In addition to continuing development on TRON, we plan to keep improving the NEO version and will soon begin preparation for a big launch on ETH. Following that our main goal will be to experiment with cross-chain platforms such as LOOM so that we can connect different versions of the game with each other. The TRON community has been a huge help in helping us get this game off the ground and we cannot wait to continue improving the game and making changes based on your feedback.
